Moon – Solo Dance by Yang Liping, China 楊麗萍一直以為女人就如同月光一樣有形和無形，她用抽象和變形的肢體語言表現了她的情感和月光的聖潔，在舞蹈中我們會看到舞蹈家是怎樣張開她那想像的翅膀。 楊麗萍雲南大理白族人。 1971年進入西雙版納州歌舞團。她主演的大型民族舞劇《孔雀公主》曾榮獲雲南省1979年調演表演一等獎。 1986年她創作並表演的獨舞《雀之靈》是她的成名作，曾榮獲第二屆全國舞蹈比賽創作一等獎，表演第一名。 1990年在北京第十一屆亞運會閉幕式中，她主演大型舞蹈《雀之靈》。 1992年5月她成為大陸第一位赴台灣的舞蹈家。 1993年在中央電視台春節晚會上她創作、表演的雙人舞《兩棵樹》獲一等獎。 1994年9月中華人民共和國國務院授予她”全國民族團結、進步模範”稱號。同年12月獨舞《雀之靈》榮獲中華民族二十世紀舞蹈經典作品金獎。她導演並主演的電影《太陽鳥》獲得加拿大蒙特利爾電影節評委會大獎。她出訪世界許多國家進行藝術交流，相繼在新加坡、菲律賓、美國、加拿大、台灣、日本等國家或地區舉辦專場舞蹈晚會。菲律賓國家民間舞蹈協會贈予她終生會員。楊麗萍酷愛舞蹈藝術在舞蹈上獨闢蹊徑，自成風格。 楊麗萍出於對舞蹈的熱愛和與生俱來的民族特質，用了一年多的時間，深入雲南各地采風，甑選了具有云南典型代表的音樂舞蹈元素，花了十五個月的時間精心排演，用獨到的視角和想像力傾心構架這一台大型原生態歌舞集《雲南映像》。並用原生、古樸的民族歌舞與新銳的藝術構思去展示《雲南映像》這一嶄新的舞台藝術創作風格。

And they would be playing classical music while their fellow prisoners were being killed and burnt. So, that music, “Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin,” meaning the beauty there of being the consummation of life, the end of this existence and of the passionate element in that consummation. But, it is the same language that we use for surrender to the beloved, so that the song — it’s not important that anybody knows the genesis of it, because if the language comes from that passionate resource, it will be able to embrace all passionate activity.

This is Bucharest’s official video. Around 200 people gathered to bring an homage to the unique Michael Jackson on his birthday, the 29th of August. A big thank you for everyone involved in this, and to the great friends and dancer colleagues that were next to me, teaching the choreography (Ioana Marchidan, Mircea Ghinea, Raluca Popa, Alexandra Gavrilescu, Doina Botis, Irina Strungareanu and Violeta Dumitrascu). Some very important shots in this video where taken by Violeta, whom I didn’t mention on the video. I apologize and thank you a lot!
